Kristi Carlson

President

As President, Kristi is responsible for the strategic planning and overall growth of Northstar Properties and its subsidiaries. She holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma and is currently a Certified Apartment Manager Candidate through the National Apartment Association. She has held both the Vice-President and President positions on the Apartment Association of Central Oklahoma’s Board of Directors and has served on the board of directors for the Oklahoma Multi-Family Housing Association.

James Lawler CPA

Vice President and CFO

Jim brings over 30 years of accounting and finance experience to Northstar Properties. He received his BBA in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma and is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants. Jim oversees all accounting functions for Northstar Properties, manages budget adherence and is the liaison between Northstar Properties and lending institutions for the purposes of new acquisitions and refinancing.


Gretchen Carlson

Vice President of Administration

Gretchen graduated from California State University Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design and is an associate member of the Society of Human Resources Management. Her specialized expertise in design and modern decorating trends is an integral part to the success of Northstar Properties. She also manages Northstar Properties' human resources, monitors and maintains compliancy efforts, employee training and benefits programs.

Cassie Weigle

Vice President Property Management

Since 1998, Cassie’s professional career in property management represents extensive and versatile experience in all facets of the multi-family industry. She is experienced in new community lease-ups, on-site and multi-site management, distressed property turn around and Tax Credit compliance. As Vice President of Property Management, she is responsible for the day-to-day on-site operations of the Northstar Properties’ portfolio including Fair Housing compliance, creating and monitoring annual budgets, supervising the on-site management and leasing staffs and monitoring and forecasting market trends to increase profits and maintain market stability. She is also committed to providing continuing education opportunities for her staff through her membership and board participation with the Apartment Association of Central Oklahoma and the National Apartment Association thus ensuring competent, knowledgeable and professional management of the Northstar family of properties.

Robbie Hixon ARM, CPM, CAM

Vice President of Facilities Management

An industry veteran since 1993, Robbie has earned both his Accredited Residential Manager and his Certified Property Manager designations through the Institute of Real Estate Management. He also holds the Certified Apartment Manager designation through the National Apartment Association. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the National Apartment Association and is a former President of the Apartment Association of Central Oklahoma. As Northstar Properties Vice President of Facilities Management, he is responsible for overseeing all maintenance personnel and maintenance operations including rehabilitation and modernization projects. Aside from the day-to-day operations of the facilities, Robbie plans, coordinates and oversees Northstar Properties’ capital improvement projects.

Julie Speer

Controller

Julie brings over 20 years of accounting and finance experience from 3 different industries to Northstar Properties. She received her BBA and Bachelor of Finance from the University of Oklahoma. She is a certified public accountant and a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants. Julie oversees and manages the daily financial operations of Northstar Properties which includes, ensuring Northstar’s vendor partners meet the safety and liability criteria, preparing financial statements, budget forecasting, investor relations as well as payroll and EEOC compliance.
